Babcia's Tote

Here is a tote I made for my grandmother "Babcia" for Christmas. She walks to and from the grocery store often so I thought a large tote would be useful for her. It's a simple design- no pockets or anything, and it's very large in size.

I finished this on December 18th.

Niecy's Bag

A group of friends did a secret gift exchange this year. I got my dear friend, Niecy. Trying to pick out what fabrics to use for her without completely telling her what I was doing was super hard!! What I got out of her was that she likes green and isn't really into florals. It is of course another Frenchy Bag

I finished this November 26, 2008

Melny's Pillow

My girlfriend "Melny" has the most gorgeous kitchen. I like to pretend it's mine and find things to decorate it. I saw this fabric at a store and I told her I had to make pillows for her window seat with it... about a year later I actually finished them! I learned to put in a zipper on these babies!

I finished the pair around November 20, 2008

First Frenchy Shoulder Bag

And here is my "baby". My first Amy Butler "Frenchy Bag" (other than the one I took back and ruined-sorry mom). The floral is vintage from my Oma and the spotted one is something I got from The Franklin Mill store, my favorite fabric store. I just adore this bag.

The picture date on this is November 2, 2008, but I think I finished it a few days before that.

Shanon's Birdie Sling

This pattern is Amy Butler's "Birdie Sling" It is a pretty good pattern and I should make another! It wasn't too bad considering it was the first bag I ever started (I finished another one first) The main fabric is an Amy Butler print and the handles are a fabric from the stash I inherited from my grandmother "Oma". This was a gift for Shanon- it was supposed to be for her wedding, but it ended up being an after-wedding present because I am not the quickest in the project department :)

The finish date on this was November 2, 2008

First Dress

Here is the first dress I made- also the first wearable garment. It took many class hours to make, but I learned a lot and wore it to an awesome wedding.

The picture date is October 16th 2008, and I believe it was the same night I finished it.
